Ghana participates in World Corporate Golf Challenge World Finals
Ghana made its first appearance at the World Corporate Golf Challenge 2017 World Finals at the Oitavos Dunes in Cascais, Portugal from the 21st -24th of June.
It was a full week of business networking, emotions and competition, with executives from Tata Hitachi, ICC, Euopcar, Golf World, Time Fortune, JuCad, MATEUS, oni amongst others.
Equity Brokers Ltd runners up at the Ghana Final represented Ghana and made an impression after a shaky start on day one. The Equity Brokers duo of Geoffrey Avornyotse and Theodore Asampong scored a total 88 stableford points to place 24th. International Chamber of Commerce Ghana (ICC Ghana) organisers of Ghana’s participation stated that lack of adequate preparation as a result of the last minute replacement of Mimis Group the winners of the Ghana Final were some of the problems that affected the team. The experience was good for Ghana Golf and called on Corporate Ghana to participate and sponsor the 2018 event. The World Final was won by China with a score of 135 stableford points. The Chinese duo of Lei Shi and Xiaonan Liu scored 72 and 63 points respectively with 5 and 7 birdies respectively.
